BAKERY TRAINING PROGRAMME
If you are interested in a career as a baker with the potential to find employment with
hotels, guest houses, restaurants, bakeries, retail outlets, you may be a suitable candidate for our Bakery Training Programme.
A 12 Month SETA Accredited NQF Level 2 and 3 Bakery Qualification
The programme provides students with theoretical and practical knowledge and experience to become qualified bakers.
The programme focuses on the specific skills required to become a qualified baker, with the ability to either enter into the entrepreneurial market or obtain formal employment.
Health Hygiene, Safety and Security and the Bakery Working Environment.
Food safety practices.
Stock Management and Financial Administration.
Bread & Flour Confectionary Baking
Personal Development and Communication
The programme is 30% theory and 70% practical training. The practical component is conducted at our onsite Conynghams Coffee Shop and Tata Madiba Conferencing Venue as well as 2 months experience in PE’s leading hotels kitchens.
Employment opportunities post-graduation include hotels, guest houses and restaurants.
