We are also incredibly proud of Loxolo and Mlungisi, two of our current Woodwork students who have demonstrated remarkable entrepreneurial spirit. Alongside their training, they have established a side business called A.K Hardware, where they apply the skills, they are developing through their studies.

As part of their training, they have also gained valuable upholstery experience, recently helping to upholster couches for our coffee shop. This hands-on work has allowed them to develop a broader range of practical skills while contributing to the improvement of our facilities.

In addition, they have successfully designed and are building beautiful dog kennels and doors for clients through their business, showcasing both their craftsmanship and commitment to quality. Their ability to translate classroom learning into practical projects and entrepreneurial opportunities is a wonderful example of initiative, creativity, and determination. Loxolo and Mlungisi’s journey highlights how technical skills can create pathways to self-employment and entrepreneurship, inspiring their fellow students to pursue their own ambitions with confidence.
